Daniel Tammet is an autistic savant with very special gifts. One of Daniel’s well known feat was his ability to memorize and recite pi to 22,514 digits. Another savant who displays mind blogging abilities is Kim Peek. Kim is able to scan-read an open book, two pages at a time, one with each eye, and retain nearly every word his scanned. Kim is the man who inspired the movie “Rain Man“.

It is said that humans are capable of using only a tiny fraction of their brains full capability. It is believed that Daniel and Kim were able to “use” more of their right brain because their bodies were compensating for weakness in their left brains.

All this leads me to marvel and wonder what it would be like if a man could make full use of his brain the way God originally created us.

Oh how wonderfully designed are we.
